One who is intent on saving (His) devotees, One who has given His padukas to His brother Bharata, One who is the destroyer of the rakshasas (demons), One of all auspicious qualities, One of infinite mercy, Lord Venkataramana (Sri Janakiramanam)
Note: The word ‘Venkataramanam’ in the charanam may be interpreted in two ways, i.e., as the author’s mudra or ‘the One who gives pleasure to Venkataramana, the composer of the song’.
If the reference is taken as denoting God, the usage is ‘vyangya’ ( intended meaning); if the reference is to the composer, the usage is ‘vāchya’ (what is expressed)
